배민사장님광장 Design System
Created the Design System for the 배달의민족 B2B service called 배민사장님광장 which helps restaurant owners to manage their overall delivery details in one platform such as menu, reviews, statistics, records, etc.
My team faced a few problems with the original service. First, the service had lack of consistency since it has 4-5 domains separately which caused different interfaces and experiences through the service. Second, the service needed to provide huge updates in short term along with the business needs but the team had lack of resources.
So we decided to create and maintain the design system.
The goal was making the service structure and user experience consistent, also releasing the service updates faster along with the business needs with the design system created in React environment. For that, we investigated all the pages of the service, found the rules and modified them to fit in the system. Then worked in cooperations with developers to create the design system run by code.
Responsive design was the key to help the lack of resources since the service is run in web. When I design the mobile screen only with the system, the other resolutions are automatically generated. It saved a lot of time to design each screens and helped to focus on the service structures and user experience in short time.
